Renergy<br />

Renergy is a powdered high protein and high energy concentrate that has a low<br />

phosphate and low potassium content. Renergy is a Food for Special Medical<br />

Purposes.<br />

Presentation<br />

Renergy has a powdered vanilla flavour taste.<br />

Renergy is available in 10 x 100 g sachets per box (1000 g).<br />

Recommended Intake<br />

Renergy must always be used under medical supervision. Renergy must only be used<br />

according to medical instructions taking into account the nutritional condition and nutritional<br />

requirements of the patient.<br />

To supplement the diet as a drink or food, to prevent and treat conditions of protein<br />

and energy deficiency:<br />

100-200 g (1-2 sachets) per day<br />

As a complete diet in the form of a drink or tube-feed, according to requirements:<br />

Average of 500 g (5 sachets) per day<br />

Indications<br />

Renergy is indicated for the dietetic treatment of increased protein and energy need of<br />

dialysis patients.<br />

Contraindications<br />

Renergy is only a complete food when 5 sachets (500 g) are used daily.<br />

Renergy should not be used with children under 1 year of age.<br />

Persons who are allergic to cow’s milk or who have absorption problems should not<br />

consume Renergy.<br />

Renergy is not suitable for diabetics.<br />

Renergy is not for parenteral use.<br />

In exclusive nutrition with Renergy over several days the electrolyte status must be<br />

monitored.<br />

Storage<br />

Store Renergy in a dry place, not above room temperature.<br />

Open Renergy sachets should be used immediately.<br />

Premixed solutions of Renergy should be stored in a refrigerator and used within 72 hours.<br />
