with painted iron Roman numeral dial inscribed Adam Chilholm,
Dumfries, painted floral corners and moon’s age in the arch, scroll-top
case with freestanding turned columns flanking the dial, carved reeded
quarter-columns with thistle capitals and twist column bases in the
waist, fluted columns on the base and short bracket feet, eight-day
time and strike movement with two iron weights and paint and stencil
decorated pendulum, ht. 96 in.
