Reuben Ingraham, Plainfield No. 90 surmounted by engraved portraits<br />
of a man and woman, Roman numerals with Arabic minutes, stylized<br />
floral spandrels, seconds bit and recessed date dial, eight-day time and<br />
rack strike movement with wooden pendulum rod, brass-faced bob and<br />
powered by two period iron weights, walnut case with solid fret top,<br />
freestanding columns, waist door and recessed panel in the base, ht.<br />

Note: Reuben Ingraham (1745-1811) was apprenticed to clockmaker<br />
and silversmith John Avery (1732-1794) of Preston, Connecticut. See<br />
