Willard, Boston, c. 1825, with painted iron Roman numeral dial marked<br />
as above, half-round mahogany frames enclosing reverse-paintings on<br />
glass, the lower depicting a rural mill scene, the waist glass with red,<br />
blue, white, and gold scrolled designs, eight-day brass timepiece with<br />
skeletonized plates and recoil escapement powered by an iron weight<br />
and regulated by a brass-faced pendulum, ht. 34 in.<br />
Note: Skeletonized movement in this clock is related to others by the<br />
