OUR CAUSE AT HOT SPBINOS.
¥k£AR BRO. BEABCY:—X aprnt a few days
In Hot Springs not long t>ince, looking aner
interest of our cause there. I foumt the Baptists
without a house of worship, without a pastor,
and somewhat discouraged. However, they are
disposed to work if only they can see any prospect
to do anything.
If the Marion Board would assist tbe diurcb
for a year or two, then I think the ehurdi would
be sdf-supporting, and would then be aUe to hely
i>ome de^itute place. If that Board cannot hdp
the cburch at Hot Springs support a |iaator, thm
our State Board should do its utmost to do so.
The Baptists of Arkansas should assist In building
a house of worship there. The chuidi is
we^ numerically and financially, and is not able
to buUd of itself. The strong should help the
weak, and all should remember the admonlUm,
" Bear ye one another's burdens, and so ftalfill the
law of Christ." Bro. James B. Wood ia me of '
