Our wonderful parents catered the picnic with lovely<br />
food. The children enjoyed the chance to spend<br />
some time in our <strong>College</strong> bushland with their family<br />
and friends and of course their teddies! We had<br />
teddies large and small join us on the trek through<br />
the bush, helping us to keep an eye out for bush<br />
creatures of all descriptions. Thank you to our lovely<br />
Grounds Staff who helped us out on the day.<br />
LIBRARY NEWS<br />
This week beginning Monday 12 November is the<br />
last week for borrowing in the Junior School Library.<br />
Unlike other holidays during the year, students are<br />
not permitted to borrow during the long Summer<br />
break. There are still some books missing or overdue<br />
and I hope students will have a good look under beds<br />
and in cupboards (and other places library books get<br />
to) during the next two weeks. Home readers can be<br />
borrowed until the last week of term.<br />
Thank you to parents and students for your support<br />
during the year. The Junior School Resource<br />
Centre is an integral part of the Junior School and<br />
we appreciate the good manners and friendliness<br />
the students always show on their visits.<br />

CHRISTMAS APPEAL<br />
Each Christmas we ask our <strong>College</strong> families to<br />
support our Christmas Appeal in which the <strong>College</strong><br />
sends food parcels and gifts to Anglicare and The<br />
Salvation Army to distribute to needy people. Nonperishable<br />
food items such as tins or packets of<br />
goods can be brought to the Junior Admin office.<br />
Wrapped gifts should be labelled with details of<br />
suitability (Male/Female and approximate age)<br />
and placed under the Christmas tree in the Junior<br />
Admin office.<br />
Our <strong>Canterbury</strong> <strong>College</strong> community has been most<br />
generous in supporting these worthwhile projects<br />
and your continued support is appreciated.
