What's On - Canterbury College

Hello everyone,
Parents
& Friends
I am pleased to have been elected as P&F President
for 2013. I have previously been a committee member
and Vice President for three years, so I have a little
experience as does Tony Wormald, Vice President,
and Stacey McIntosh, who is the new Treasurer and
previous Vice President.
Firstly, a big thank you to the outgoing committee and
President Laurie Koranski, Vice President Stacey
McIntosh, Secretary Mel Spink (who was replaced by
Acting Secretary Kim Dale and supported by Stacey
McIntosh), Treasurer Mirielle VanDijk and committee
members Robert Churchley, Rodney Roy, Kim Dale,
Esther Weaver, Jason Danbury and Kim Goodwin.
Thanks for all the hard work that has gone into
keeping the P&F alive, connecting more with the
supporter groups and for making it more about FUN
raising as well as fund raising to support the college
with additional resources.
Welcome to the 2013 P&F Committee: Tony
Wormald, Stacey, McIntosh, Kim Dale, Rodney Roy,
Mirielle VanDijk, Matt Bergman, Margaret Whitfield
and Craig Morrison. The Secretary position is still
vacant.
“Mission statement: To establish strong and
successful working relationships with the P&F team,
the school hierarchy, the various supporter groups,
parents, friends and the broader community.” This
was written by Laurie Koranski as the incoming
president in 2011. I will be continuing with this in
2013.
2013 is a Fair year! Canterbury College has a great
raft of volunteers and it will be great if we can continue
to extend this next year by all working together to
create another great Canterbury Event. Many hands
make light work, so I hope you won’t be too shy to
help.
