KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Students across Junior School have been actively
involved this week in completing assessments and
work as the end of Term 4 quickly approaches. For
our students, this is an opportunity to gain valuable
feedback and advice on areas that require further
development. It is also an opportunity to reflect upon
our skills, to further develop areas of strength and
work upon areas that need improvement.
UNIFORM AND GROOMING
Thank you to families and students who have
continued to uphold the wearing of their school
uniform. It is positive to see the pride our students
show in themselves and their school when wearing
their uniforms correctly. Can I ask that shoes be
checked regularly and cleaned as required? It is
important to remember that if you present well, you
feel good about yourself.
SENIOR AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
SUPPORTING OTHERS
Many students across Senior and Middle School take
great care in supporting our Junior School students
within the College. I would like to mention and thank
our Year 10 Peer Mediators. This group of students
has put themselves forward to actively support the
Junior School children of Canterbury College in
developing skills and strategies in conflict resolution
which will assist in the building of confidence and
resilience. This is an important service to the College
community and is to be commended.
Also thanks go to the other students for helping our
sport, dance and drama activities at school.
REFLECTING ON OUR YEAR IN 2LD
2LD has had a very fun and productive year. We
can’t believe the year is quickly coming to an end.
Recently we reflected on our busy and exciting year.
Each student relayed a highlight of the year and why
it was meaningful to them.
Jordan enjoyed going the museums, and she met
lots of amazing people.
Nicholas liked the excursions, as we got to see
some fantastic things.
Erin had fun learning maths and times tables. She
thought that was a lot of fun.
Laila remembers our swimming carnival and how
we played there and had fun.
Brooke likes how at break times she gets to play
with her friends, and she really likes sorting books at
the library too.
Jacinta enjoyed going to Mayes Cottage, as we
learned about an old family there.
Allana really liked doing sport because she was
able to run and play games.
Amy also liked doing HPE, as it helped to teach us
to run faster.
Jessica loved having a nice teacher, who helped
her when she needed it.
