Golguz: Najstaršie pomenovanie Hlohovca sa objavuje<br />
v roku 1113. Pôvod názvu mesta nie je úplne istý, najskôr<br />
je však odvodený od rastliny hlohu, ktorý v podobe kríkov<br />
a stromov dodnes rastie na južných a severných svahoch mesta.<br />
Golguz: The oldest name of the town of Hlohovec was first mentioned in a document as of 1113. The origin of the<br />
name is still not certain, most probably it was derived from the plant of hawthorn, which covers the southern and<br />
northern slopes of the town in the form of trees and bushes.<br />
