This will reduce the need for passengers to change buses
and walk between city centre stops when travelling from
one place to another.
This will also help people make a journey by using
different forms of public transport (like Metrolink trams
and trains).
TfGM will be looking to spend over £100 million to make
the changes, which will create 25 miles of bus routes
across Greater Manchester.
This will be the biggest amount of money spent to make
the bus network better in a long time.
This will add to the money TfGM has already spent on
the Quality Bus Corridor scheme, which made other
important bus routes in Greater Manchester better.
What are the benefits of the scheme?
It will make bus journeys faster, arrive on time and more
reliable so journeys will be better for passengers.
This will make it easier and better for people to use buses
to get to work, schools and colleges, GP’s surgeries, and
shopping and leisure.
