generate per month: (1) Conditionally exempt small quantity generators (CESQGs), which<br />

generate less than 220 lbs (100 kg) per month; (2) Small quantity generators (SQGs), which<br />

generate between 220 lbs (100 kg) and 2,200 lbs (1,000 kg) per month; (3) Large quantity<br />

generators (LQGs), which generate more than 2,200 lbs (1,000 kg) per month.<br />

Again, inclusion on the list only means that the businesses voluntarily submitted their names<br />

to the USEPA and does not imply any hazardous materials incidents have occurred at this<br />

site. A search of the RCRA Generators list, using the EDR Report dated January 6, <strong>2012</strong>,<br />

did not reveal any sites on or adjacent to the subject property.<br />

6.1.7 RCRA Corrective Action<br />

A list containing sites with reported RCRA violations that are subject to corrective action<br />

was reviewed using the EDR Report dated January 6, <strong>2012</strong>. This review did not reveal any<br />

sites within the approximate minimum search distance of one (1) mile of the subject<br />

property.<br />

6.1.8 FRS/ERNS<br />

The Federal Response System (FRS), which supplanted the Emergency Response<br />

Notification System (ERNS) database, provides a summary of all hazardous substance spills<br />

which are submitted to state and federal authorities. This database is maintained by the<br />

National Response Center (operated by the United State Coast Guard) for USEPA and other<br />

agencies, and is supported under several federal regulations including CERCLA, the Clean<br />

Water Act, the Clean Air Act, SARA Title III, the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act,<br />

and the Oil Pollution Act of 1990. A search of the FRS using the EDR Report dated<br />

January 6, <strong>2012</strong>, did not reveal any events on the subject property.<br />

6.1.9 Federal IC / EC<br />

The CERCLIS list also provides information on sites with federal institutional controls /<br />

engineering controls (IC / EC). A search of the EPA’s Superfund Site Information using the<br />

EDR Report dated January 6, <strong>2012</strong>, did not reveal any IC / EC sites within the<br />

approximate minimum search distance of one-half (½) mile.<br />

6.2 STANDARD STATE / TRIBAL ENVIRONMENTAL AND ADDITIONAL RECORDS SEARCH<br />

The following State and Tribal government records were reviewed for information concerning the<br />

site and the surrounding area.<br />

State and Tribal (where appropriate) reports included:<br />

Equivalent NPL–State equivalent to the national priority list<br />

VCP/ Brownfields<br />

Solid waste facilities/landfill sites listing<br />

LPST–Leaking petroleum storage tanks<br />

Registered PSTs (historic and current) listing<br />
