NFFF Associate Members meeting 2011
The 2011 NFFF Associate Members meeting took place recently on Monday 7th November, in
Leicester at the NSPCC National Training Centre. The day was a great success, with a strong
turnout of delegates representing the majority of current NFFF Associate Members, new and old.
The meeting was chaired by NFFF Vice-President Mark Drummond who along with President Gregg Howard and Treasurer Andrew Crook presented on a number of the NFFF’s
current key initiatives, including the Fish & Chip Quality Award and the KPMG VAT campaign. We also had updates on the Young Fish Frier of the Year Competition from Ken
Wilkinson of Drywite and National Chip Week from Kate Cox of the Potato Council.
On the day we also picked the winner of the ‘Win Your Weight in Fish’ competition in association with T-Quality, launched at the recent TQ Leeds trade show. The winner was
picked out by current Fish and Chip Shop of the Year holder, Tracy Poskitt with the prize going to Peter Diamond of Bondgate Fisheries, Otley.

NFFF Launch new insurance scheme in association with Brian Thornhill & Son
The National Federation of Fish Friers has teamed up with leading insurance
brokers Brian Thornhill & Son, who have developed a unique “Quote and
Buy” internet quotation site, specifically aimed at insurance for fish friers
