Schwendimann AG is an innovative company with 75 years’ experience of disposing of waste of all kinds. In the past few
years the company has evolved into a one-stop shop offering integrated services in and around Bern, Solothurn and Biel.
On 1 February 2012 it expanded into the Zermatt area, where it has deployed the environmentally friendly Alpenluft
refuse collection system.
On 28 February 2011 it became a strategic partner of Loacker Recycling GmbH when the latter acquired a 50% stake. Since
then Schwendimann has been fully exploiting the synergies created by a line-up of two family businesses that boast a
combined total of 175 years’ experience in the recycling industry.
This expertise is in increasing demand from SMEs and large industrial companies. The proportion of waste that Schwendimann
recycles is soaring, and the Loacker Group’s corporate claim certainly applies to it: the future is recycling.
