10 Cer Magazine SICIS OPENS showroom in Chicago On 4 October Sicis will be opening a new showroom in Chicago which will join the existing three in New York, Milan and Dubai. The “Materials Marketing” building extends over more than 300 square metres, making the Sicis exhibition an authentic “Shop within a shop”. The space is divided into three sections: the entrance gallery with the Neoglass, Mirror and Bathtub collections; the central section characterised by the back-lit Flower Power Mosaic collection panels; and the rest of the shop which showcases the Marble natural stone collection, the mosaicclad dummies, Metallismo Posh Pix and the many varied Sicis collections. Further showrooms are to be opened in the US in the near future. CASALGRANDE PADANA “PERCORSI IN CERAMICA” Issue number 15 of the Casalgrande Padana company magazine contains news and analysis on this leading ceramic company’s activities and initiatives in the field of porcelain tile production. It gives extensive coverage to the Creative Centre, the multifunctional facility in direct contact with the factory that combines creativity, communication, technical information, production and design. THE NEW MULTIFUNCTIONAL “CREATIVE CENTRE” Ceramica Del Conca group member company Ceramiche Pastorelli has won a prestigious new order. The company from Savignano sul Panaro (province of Modena, Italy) will supply ceramic tiles for the ten Volvo showrooms in Holland, the first of which has already been completed at Best with 60x60 cm “Quarz Design Fumé” tiles covering a total surface area of 3000 sq.m. The Majorca group has chosen to follow or if possible preempt this trend by undertaking a new product study based on an analysis of fashions and experience gained in “trendsetting” courses. For this purpose Majorca has turned to Andrea Leonardi, a professional specifically trained in trendsetting who has led the company in search of new trends, the results of which will be unveiled at Cersaie 2007.
