based on various combinations are available, including
shower entrance areas which can be used to hang clothes
and bathrobes. The whole space is delimited by highly
resistant toughened glass with safe, small-sized
and visually attractive profiles. These are all
technical as well as stylistic aspects
that make shower enclosures
less invasive, whether they
are intended for private use or
in hotels and other hospitality
facilities. The sector is therefore in a
state of “work in progress”. Numerous
manufacturers are offering shower enclosures with
additional functions such as colour therapy, Turkish baths
and saunas, which gives an idea of the kind of versatility that
is required to satisfy an increasingly discerning clientele.
The characteristics of shower enclosures and ceramic shower
trays - available either flush with the floor or with raised
edges - owe much to the sensibility of the designers and
manufacturers. However, we should not forget the
contribution of the many travellers who embraced new ideas
and customs as they explored the continents. These
cosmopolitan wayfarers were the bringers of ideas and coarchitects
of a constructive contamination.
