Papers that compare <strong>and</strong> contrast theoretical models for more than one form <strong>of</strong><br />

violence<br />

Comparisons <strong>of</strong> theoretical models which exam<strong>in</strong>e how social <strong>and</strong> cultural factors<br />

affect the way violence develops <strong>and</strong> manifests under different conditions.<br />

Manuscripts that explore theories related to both risk <strong>of</strong> perpetration <strong>and</strong> vulnerability<br />

to victimization are welcome.<br />

The submission deadl<strong>in</strong>e for first drafts is September 15, 2010. Manuscripts should not<br />

exceed 6,000 words, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g references <strong>and</strong> tables. Manuscripts can be submitted<br />

through the journal’s submission portal at http://www.apa.org/pubs/journals/vio. Please<br />

note <strong>in</strong> your cover letter that you are submitt<strong>in</strong>g for the special issue.<br />

Manuscripts for regular, full-length articles are also be<strong>in</strong>g accepted. Psychology <strong>of</strong><br />

Violence publishes articles on all types <strong>of</strong> violence <strong>and</strong> victimization, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g but not<br />

limited to: sexual violence, youth violence, child maltreatment, bully<strong>in</strong>g, children’s<br />

exposure to violence, <strong>in</strong>timate partner violence, suicide, homicide, workplace violence,<br />

<strong>in</strong>ternational violence <strong>and</strong> prevention efforts. Manuscripts address<strong>in</strong>g under-served or<br />
