performing, provided the amount payable will be not less than minimum rate provided in<br />
the Special Supported Wage System (Employees with a Disability) Australian Pay and<br />
Classification Scale as amended from time to time.<br />
46.2. For example, where an employee has an assessed capacity <strong>of</strong> 30 per cent they will be<br />
entitled to 30 per cent <strong>of</strong> the prescribed salary rate.<br />
46.3. For the purpose <strong>of</strong> establishing the percentage <strong>of</strong> the salary rate to be paid to an employee<br />
under this provision, the productive capacity <strong>of</strong> the employee will be assessed in accordance<br />
with the Supported Wage System and documented in an Assessment Instrument.<br />
47. Graduates<br />
47.1. A DCCEE graduate will be engaged as an ongoing employee at the APS 3.3 pay point <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Graduate Band (APS Level 3-5). After the second rotation, DCCEE graduates who have<br />
received a rating <strong>of</strong> fully effective or more up to that date will advance to pay point APS 4.1<br />
in the DCCEE Graduate Band.<br />
47.2. On completion <strong>of</strong> their training program DCCEE graduates will be assessed for advancement<br />
within the DCCEE Graduate Band to pay point APS 5.1.<br />
47.3. Graduates will not be eligible for Temporary Reassignment <strong>of</strong> Duties (TROD) allowance<br />
during the course <strong>of</strong> the training program.<br />
48. Cadets<br />
48.1. A DCCEE Cadet or DCEEE Indigenous Australian Cadet (local designation) will be engaged at<br />
the APS 1 or 2 classification level, depending on level <strong>of</strong> experience and existing skills . A<br />
Cadet will receive the normal rate <strong>of</strong> pay for his or her classification when attending DCCEE<br />
for practical training and 57% <strong>of</strong> this rate when in full-time study.<br />
48.2. DCCEE Cadet employees will undertake a course <strong>of</strong> training as determined by the Secretary.<br />
48.3. On successfully completing their training and receiving a rating <strong>of</strong> ‘fully effective’ in the<br />
Performance Development Framework, DCEEE Cadet employees will progress to the<br />
minimum salary point applying to APS Level 3 as determined by the Secretary.<br />
49. Trainees<br />
49.1. A Trainee APS employee will undertake a course <strong>of</strong> training determined by the Secretary and<br />
be paid a percentage <strong>of</strong> the rate <strong>of</strong> pay applying to the minimum pay point <strong>of</strong> the APS 1<br />
classification level, having regard to the average proportion <strong>of</strong> time spent in approved<br />
training.<br />
49.2. Upon successful completion <strong>of</strong> his or her training requirements a Trainee will be paid at the<br />
minimum APS 1 pay point.<br />
