Pucker uP! TM (C. stolonifera ‘Neil Z’ ppaf, cbraf)
A red stemmed dogwood unlike any other. Its glossy, puckered foliage
is distinctive as well as attractive. The thick foliage delivers a high
of and/or sale of plant parts is prohibited without a license.
Patent/trademark tag and container required.
‘Grace’ (C. x dummeri)
A real gem that resulted as a cross between our native species
C. obovatus and C. ‘Velvet Cloak’. Attractive new leaves emerge an
intense wine-red and mature to dusky-reddish-blue before turning bright
orange-red in fall. Masses of extremely large, deep pink panicles cover
this beauty in early summer. Use as a large shrub or train into a small
tree. Hybridized by Peter Dummer, former propagator at Hillier Nurseries
in Winchester, U.K. NATIVE: North America. AWARDS: AGM.
USDA 4, AHS 8, 10-15 feet, gr 1 Item #: 19812 - 2 1 /4” • 19814 - 4”
‘Royal Purple’
Deep wine-purple foliage glows when backlit by the sun. Noted for
We took Pucker Up! to a Garden Writers Regional Meeting and there
was just unbelievable excitement about it…though red-twig dogwoods
might be work-a-day plants, interesting new introductions like this
provide a fresh outlook on an old favorite.
