After a breakfast of fresh buko
(coconut) juice, fruit and pancakes
(dehydrated rather than cooked), we
hit the road again for a 10-minute drive
through forested mountains down to
the idyllic Nagtabon Beach.
We all get a chance to swim and
laze about on the beach for a while,
before we begin our open-air yoga
class with Monica, facing the beautiful
blue waves. Later that afternoon, we
pass by the hot springs on the outskirts
of Puerto Princesa to soak our tired
bodies.
That fi rst evening, Djotay holds a
sacred music healing session using
“psycho-acoustic” sound to tap latent
energies within the body. It is deeply
relaxing and we all feel as though we
are being “massaged” by the music.
P URE PALAWAN
On our last day, Daniw explains
more on how to prepare raw food and
we have our fi nal yoga class with
Monica. Before the end of the retreat,
we have another inner dance session
with Pi where he teaches us to practice
healing each other. Our goal is to be
able to take what we have learned
during the retreat and apply it to our
normal, everyday lives — a practical
way to combat stress and live healthily.
That is, until the next retreat.
learned during the
retreat and apply it
to our everyday lives.
