Hakim Rustom - Sola Doctor - Testifies<br />
Why do some Parsis say: o<strong>the</strong>r <strong>Religion</strong>s have <strong>the</strong>ir miracles even today, but our <strong>Religion</strong> has none? My<br />
counter question: Is not <strong>the</strong> advent <strong>of</strong> Baheramshah Shr<strong>of</strong>f and uncovering, through him, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> spiritual,<br />
devotional and mystical truths <strong>of</strong> our <strong>Religion</strong>, a miracle? Was his own life not a miracle? Then we ask, did it<br />
really happen? In answer to that, we are examining <strong>the</strong> testimonies <strong>of</strong> several weighty witnesses who had<br />
come into contact with him. Baheramshah Shr<strong>of</strong>f Memorial Volume is a formidable record <strong>of</strong> more than 36<br />
such witnesses. Scholars like K. R. Cama, Khodabux Poonegar and Sohrab Bulsara, eminent personalities<br />
like Kharshedji Suntoke Advocate, Jehangirji Vimadalal Solicitor, Manchershah Kekobad, Jamshed Mehta<br />
and Mobeds like Ervad Sahebs Baheramji Unvalla and Manekji Bha<strong>the</strong>na have no hesitation in praising <strong>the</strong><br />
modern miracle that was Baheramshahji (1858-1927) and Iim-e-<strong>Khshnoom</strong>. Then <strong>the</strong>re are o<strong>the</strong>r truthseeking<br />
Parsis who expressed <strong>the</strong>ir amazement at <strong>the</strong> Knowledge this "uneducated" man had in, not only <strong>the</strong><br />
matters <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Zarthoshti Din, but also in several o<strong>the</strong>r branches <strong>of</strong> mystical, spiritual and even physical<br />
sciences. I ask your leave to present one <strong>of</strong> such witnesses: Hakim Rustom alias Sola Doctor.<br />
Hakim Saheb Dr. Rustomji was practising Yunaani Medicine in Surat and had a long time connection with<br />
Ustad Saheb Baheramshah. He had occasions to learn from Baheramshahji more about certain mystical<br />
sciences <strong>of</strong> medicine contained in Zarthoshti Din. The general term for this science is "lIm-e-Tib". The word<br />
'Tabib' (meaning a medical doctor) in Persian and Urdu has its root in 'Tib'. Baheramshahji had revealed to<br />
Hakim Rustom certain principles <strong>of</strong> Zarthoshti 'Tib', on <strong>the</strong> basis <strong>of</strong> Staota - <strong>the</strong> science <strong>of</strong> Vibrations. That <strong>the</strong><br />
Vibrations emanating from Manthra or Mantra have medicinal properties, was known to Parsis for a thousand<br />
years before <strong>the</strong> satanic invasion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Western Godless culture. How well versed Baheramshahji was in <strong>the</strong><br />
Sciences <strong>of</strong> Chromopathy, Hydropathy, Homeopathy, and o<strong>the</strong>rs, Hakim Rustom testifies in his article on<br />
page 169 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Memorial Volume. The title <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> article is:<br />

My Long-time Connection with Mr. Baheramshah and My Personal Experience about His Knowledge.<br />
Hakim Rustom (also known as Sola Doctor) opens his article by quoting a Persian proverb: "Musk is that<br />
whose fragrance declares itself and not through <strong>the</strong> words <strong>of</strong> its seller", and says:<br />
"Only those who have come in long-time close contact with Baheramshah can understand <strong>the</strong><br />
excellence <strong>of</strong> his great knowledge <strong>of</strong> IIm-e-<strong>Khshnoom</strong>.<br />
Indeed, <strong>the</strong> goblet <strong>of</strong> Divine Knowledge revealed by our great "Ramza-go" "Ahurana" Asho<br />
Zarathushtra Saheb is so sublime that it explains in great depth, in addition to <strong>the</strong> knowledge <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Zarthoshti Dharma, all <strong>the</strong> branches <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> worldly knowledge and modern discoveries and inventions;<br />
not only that but also sets out a very intricate description <strong>of</strong> all <strong>the</strong> Nisti (ultra-physical) and Hasti (divine)<br />
Worlds.<br />
Baheramshahji was not easy to judge. Whoever went to see him was subjected by him to a silent<br />
scrutiny. He had been taught "lIm-e-Kyaafaa" i.e. <strong>the</strong> science <strong>of</strong> reading <strong>the</strong> character and thoughts <strong>of</strong> a<br />
person from his outward appearance. If anybody approached him with a view to test his knowledge or<br />
veracity, or with some air <strong>of</strong> superiority, Baheramshahji could read him at <strong>the</strong> very first moment and gave<br />
