Godecha (Parasnath) is the god of Jains. There was an image of this god, of white marble,<br />
about 1½ feet in height. This was always kept at Godee temple—hence the name<br />
Godecha (of Godi) given to Parasnath by the Parkur people. This was kept at Godi till<br />
A.D. 1716, when it was removed by Soda Sutojee, * the fourth ancestor of the present<br />
* Sutojee, his s<strong>on</strong> Vujerajee, his s<strong>on</strong> Morjoe, his s<strong>on</strong> Morjee, his s<strong>on</strong> Morjee, <strong>and</strong> his s<strong>on</strong> Ladhajee, present chief.<br />
