Be it known to the possessor of bravery <strong>and</strong> intrepidity, Ch<strong>and</strong>ra (or Vusaipotra)<br />

Raomally,—<br />

Respecting the eleven thurrs or watering-places in the district of Islamkote, as menti<strong>on</strong>ed<br />

below :—<br />

Dhackara, Seynare, Morarnee, Dhoo-Ali-Chung, Guggadee, Dhurunmoadee, Vadasamee,<br />

Chooto Dhuroos, Ghulloova, Tookurhar, <strong>and</strong> Ghagheehar.<br />

And respecting the cultivated l<strong>and</strong>s adjacent to those thurrs, as it appears that, during the<br />

time of the government of the Ameers of Sind, you were exempt from the payment of all<br />

taxes <strong>on</strong> those thurrs <strong>and</strong> l<strong>and</strong>s, therefore His Excellency Major General Sir Charles<br />

Napier, G.C.B., Governor of Sind, has been pleased, of his great kindness <strong>and</strong><br />

c<strong>on</strong>siderati<strong>on</strong>, to present to you this Sunnud, by which you are exempted from the<br />

payment of all taxes <strong>on</strong> those thurrs <strong>and</strong> the l<strong>and</strong>s adjacent to them.<br />

This Sunnud will c<strong>on</strong>tinue valid for a period of seven (7) years, that is, from this date, the<br />

15th of October 1844, to the 14th October 1851.<br />
