pests specified in Annexes 1 and 2.<br />

Without prejudice to the provisi<strong>on</strong>s applicable to<br />

Annex 4B, point 1:<br />

There is an <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>ficial statement that<br />

a) the <strong>plants</strong> originate from areas k<str<strong>on</strong>g>no</str<strong>on</strong>g>wn to be free<br />

from Apple proliferati<strong>on</strong> phytoplasma,<br />

or<br />

b) the <strong>plants</strong> (other than those raised from seeds)<br />

are derived in direct line from material which has<br />

been maintained under appropriate c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s and<br />

have been subjected, within the last the six last<br />

finished cycles <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> vegetati<strong>on</strong>, at least <strong>on</strong>ce, to<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>ficial testing for Apple proliferati<strong>on</strong> phytoplasma<br />

using appropriate indicators or equivalent<br />

methods, and which have been found free, in<br />

these tests, from this pest<br />

and<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>no</str<strong>on</strong>g> symptoms <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> diseases caused by Apple<br />

proliferati<strong>on</strong> phytoplasma have been observed at<br />

the place <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> producti<strong>on</strong> or <strong>on</strong> susceptible <strong>plants</strong> in<br />

its immediate vicinity since the beginning <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the<br />

last three complete cycles <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> vegetati<strong>on</strong>.<br />

There is an <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>ficial statement that<br />

a) the <strong>plants</strong> originate from areas k<str<strong>on</strong>g>no</str<strong>on</strong>g>wn to be free<br />

from Plum pox potyvirus,<br />

or<br />

b) the <strong>plants</strong> (except those raised from seeds) are<br />

derived in direct line from material which is<br />

maintained under appropriate c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s and<br />

subjected, within the last three complete cycles <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

vegetati<strong>on</strong>, at least <strong>on</strong>ce to <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>ficial testing for Plum<br />

pox potyvirus by means <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> suitable indicators or<br />

equivalent methods, and were found to be free, in<br />

these tests, from this pest.<br />

and<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>no</str<strong>on</strong>g> symptoms <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> disease caused by Plum pox<br />

potyvirus have been observed at the place <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

producti<strong>on</strong> or <strong>on</strong> susceptible <strong>plants</strong> in its<br />

immediate vicinity since the beginning <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the last<br />

three complete cycles <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> vegetati<strong>on</strong>.<br />
