- No surplus predicted to the Atnarko. Small Kimsquit
River surplus will be taken incidentally in other
fisheries.
- Large surplus to the Atnarko River predicted at
approximately 5 million. Hydraulic overwinter sampling
confirms good survival. Kimsquit, Kwatna and Koeye
Pink surpluses will contribute an additional 2 million
Pink.
- Total Area 8 surplus of 430,000 Chum. Bella Coola
River contribution is 300,000 including a hatchery
contributiuon of 150000. There is a small surplus to
Kimsquit and Lower Dean streams.
- Very small surplus of Atnarko Chinook is predicted.
Forecasted returns in the past have over estimated the
actual return.

Open to gillnets for 1 day in Subareas 8-10, 8-11
8-12 (north of Bensins Island), 8-13 (north of
Restoration Bay) and 8-15.
Minimum mesh restriction of 203 mm. Further chinook
openings will depend on stock strength indicators.
Open to gillnets for 1 day in Subareas 8-3, 8-4,
8-5, 8-10, 8-11, 8-12 (north of Bensins Island),
and 8-15.
Minimum mesh restriction of 149mm to conserve
sockeye.
Open to gillnets and seines for 2 days in Subareas
8-2 (easterly of a line from the southernmost tip
of Stirling Island to Barney Point), 8-3, 8-4 and
8-5 (south of a line from Farewell Point to a
prominent point 0.7 miles northerly of Bold point).
Open to gillnets for 2 days in Subareas 8-10, 8-11,
8-12 (north of Bensins Island), and 8-15. Minimum
mesh restriction of 149mm.
