85 gill nets averaged 5 Chinooks for the 24 hour fishery
The Bella Coola River IFF catch is ahead of 1990 and 1991/
Week 24, 1990 - 390 drifts for 679 Chinooks (1.7 Ch/drift)
1991 - 364 drifts for 690 Chinooks (1.9 Ch/drift)
1992 - 496 drifts for 1064 Chinooks (2.2 Ch/drift)
The IFF Chinook regression model is predicting an escapement of
Chinooks for Week 24.

- The gear in operating in 8-13 was separated from the rest of the Bella
Coola Gill Net Area. 11 gill nets operated in 8-13 catching 81
Chinook for the fishery. The majority of the fish caught in this area
were were packed in separate totes to be sampled separately from the
rest of the Chinook by Port Samplers in Vancouver.
CURRENT WEEK RECOMMENDATION
Tuesday June 16
- To close the fishery as scheduled at 1800 hours June 16th.
- The Chinook surplus can be harvested in an orderly manner by fishing
1 day per week
NEXT WEEK'S RECOMMENDATION
Thursday, June 18
-To open for 24 hours in the same location as this week.
