Congratulations to the 26 teams who won their<br />

matches on 'Choose Tap' Grand Final day on<br />

Sunday. Below is a quick summary of each match.<br />

U17A – Despite a spirited fi nal quarter comeback by<br />

the Eagles, led by Daniel Nielson, East Ringwood<br />

Blue completed a perfect season, defeating Vermont<br />

Purple by 19 points to win its 16th game in a row.<br />

U17A1 – Knox Red made it 16 wins from 16 games<br />

in 2012, defeating Upper Ferntree Gully Red by 44<br />

points at Scoresby Recreation Reserve, with Falcons<br />

forward Adam Stein booting six goals.<br />

U17B – Mooroolbark Green proved it was the<br />

best side in the division, defeating a spirited North<br />

Ringwood by 22 points at East Ringwood Reserve.<br />

U17B1 – East Burwood White kicked 10 goals to<br />

three in the second half to defeat Norwood Purple by<br />

41 points at Walker Reserve, Wantirna South.<br />

U17C – Norwood Gold upset the more-fancied<br />

Rowville Brown by seven points in front of an electric<br />

crowd at Morton Park, Blackburn.<br />

U17C1 – Dayne Barclay kicked four goals to help The<br />

Basin cap off a perfect season, defeating Heathmont<br />

Gold by 31 points at Pinks Reserve Kilsyth.<br />

U15A – Max Healey (fi ve goals) and Vermont Purple<br />

gave its home fans plenty to cheer about, defeating North<br />

Ringwood by 24 points at Vermont Recreation Reserve.<br />

U15B – After going down to Knox in the ‘Choose Tap’<br />

semi-fi nal, Blackburn extracted some revenge in the<br />

‘Choose Tap’ Grand Final, defeating the Falcons by<br />

nine points at Scoresby Recreation Reserve.<br />

U15C – Dane Wilding booted three of Ferntree Gully<br />

Eagles’ four goals to lead his side to a 23-point win<br />

over Waverley Blues at Knox Gardens Reserve.<br />

U15D – The <strong>Eastern</strong> Lions couldn’t repeat its ‘Choose<br />

Tap’ semi-fi nal heroics, going down to the much stronger<br />

St Simons by 23 points at Ferntree Gully Reserve.<br />

U14A – Rowville had 12 individual goal kickers, with<br />

skipper Dylan Clarke leading the way with four goals,<br />

in its mammoth 117-point victory over Croydon at<br />

East Ringwood Reserve.<br />

U14B – Heathmont Blue never looked in doubt at<br />

Walker Reserve, comfortably defeating Heathmont<br />

Blue by 67 points.<br />

U14C – Despite a spirited ‘Choose Tap’ fi nals<br />

campaign, Chirnside Park was unable to topple the<br />

might of Wantirna South, with the Devils winning by<br />

47 points at Morton Park, Blackburn.<br />

U14D – Mitcham started like a house on fi re and had<br />

completely burned the Glen Waverley Hawks’ house<br />

down by the fi nal siren, winning by 45 points at Pinks<br />

Reserve, Kilsyth.<br />

U13A – Croydon Blue booted six goals to three after<br />

quarter time to record a 19-point win over Rowville at<br />

Vermont Recreation Reserve.<br />

U13B – Despite two goals and a best on ground<br />

performance from Waverley Blues’ Rory Kinsella,<br />

Wantirna South defeated the Blues by 35 points at<br />

Scoresby Recreation Reserve.<br />

U13C – Damien Vassiliou kicked four goals, taking<br />

his season tally to 59, to help Vermont Purple register a<br />

52-point win over St Simons at Knox Gardens Reserve.<br />

U13D – East Ringwood kicked two goals in the fi rst term<br />

and didn’t kick a goal for the rest of the game. But it was<br />

still enough to defeat Norwood Purple, who fi nished the<br />

match goalless, by eight points at Ferntree Gully Reserve.<br />

U12A – Sam Harte capped off an outstanding ‘Choose<br />

Tap’ fi nals campaign with another best on ground<br />

performance to guide Blackburn Black to a 24-point<br />

victory over Croydon at East Ringwood Reserve.<br />

Oscar Messenger was also solid across half-back.<br />

U12B – Vermont secured yet another junior<br />

premiership for the club, defeating Knox by 35 points<br />

at Walker Reserve, Wantirna South.<br />

U12C – Ryan Brearley kicked half of Ferntree Gully<br />

Eagles’ score to lead the Eagles to a 16-point win over<br />

Heathmont at Morton Park, Blackburn.<br />

U12D – North Ringwood reversed its ‘Choose Tap’<br />

semi-fi nal result and won a tight affair against the Glen<br />

Waverley Rovers, running out nine-point winners.<br />

U11A – East Burwood White and Blackburn Black<br />

braved the chilly, 9am, Melbourne weather at Vermont<br />

Recreation Reserve. Malek Zahed booted four goals to<br />

lead the Rams to a 49-point victory.<br />

U11B – Montrose failed to score in the fi rst term,<br />

while Rowville booted 1.6. But the Demons kicked<br />

4.4 to 0.1 after quarter time to record a remarkable<br />

15-point victory at Scoresby Recreation Reserve.<br />

U11C – Joy for North Ringwood, heartbreak for<br />

Mooroolbark, as the Saints recorded a two-point<br />

victory at Knox Gardens Reserve – the closest margin<br />

of ‘Choose Tap’ Grand Final day.<br />

U11D – Norwood Purple registered 17 scoring shots,<br />

and kept Waverley Blues Red to two, to record a<br />

convincing 40-point victory at Ferntree Gully Reserve.<br />
