JETS TURN HEADS

The Heathmont Junior Football
Club has turned quite a few
heads over recent weeks.
The Jets had three teams make
it to ‘Choose Tap’ Junior Grand
Finals last weekend, with the
U17C1, U14B and U12C all
featuring on the big stage.
Even more eye-catching, the Jets
managed to secure a premiership
fl ag, thanks to the U14B side’s comfortable victory
over Ferntree Gully Eagles Blue at Walker Reserve,
Wantirna South.
But now this junior club is catching the eyes of many,
for a different reason.
And it is all thanks to one of the EFL’s valued
sponsors: Evan Evans.
The Jets juniors were recently given a freestanding
fabric teardrop banner, which was awarded as a raffl e
prize at the EFL Season Launch earlier this year.
Following the U14B Grand Final success, the club
will be keen to display its prize as often as possible.
‘We’re always looking to attract attention to our club
to help us secure players, supporters and sponsors,’

Jets president Franz Kielblock.
‘The freestanding banner from Evan Evans is a real
attention-grabber and we’ve already had lots of
comments on how great it looks.’
Kielblock says he will be using the banner at home
and away games, as well as club events.
‘If people see the banner, we encourage them to come
and say hello,’ he said.
‘The EFL has some great sponsors and we’re really
grateful to Evan Evans for helping the club stand out.
Evan Evans’ General Manager of Operations, Michael
Mitchell, is thrilled to have been able to help out
Heathmont’s junior club.
‘Junior footy plays such an important role in
improving kids’ health and fi tness and building
community spirit,’ he said.
