The Hotel Vulcano has bagged itself a great spot on<br />
Tenerife’s south coast. For starters, the beach is less<br />
than five minutes' walk away. The hotel itself is pretty<br />
impressive. It's spacious, smart and the friendly<br />
atmosphere is evident from the moment you check in.<br />
As for the bedrooms, they’re modern, light and airy –<br />
from the sink-into armchairs to the terracotta and cream<br />
colour scheme. It’s real home from home stuff.<br />
In the lobby, they’ve brought the outdoors indoors.<br />
A massive atrium fills the marble-floored space with light.<br />
Plants, trees and fountains give a garden feel.<br />
But it’s the pool area that deserves special mention at<br />
this hotel. There are two rectangular swimming pools vying<br />
for your attention here. They’re sunk into a sizeable sun<br />
terrace and come complete with an island of palm trees<br />
and a dinky waterfall. Plus there’s a poolside bar where<br />
you can order a fruity cocktail to cool off.<br />
