SaIl to the haunting isle of Spinalonga.
It’s been dubbed ‘the island of tears’ by locals,
until 1957, to keep those suffering from leprosy
deserted island of nea Kameni. It’s 130 metres to
the top where, once you’ve regained your breath,
famous caldera. nea Kameni hasn’t experienced a
vents still steam with activity.
once the second largest in the roman empire,
see the remains of dwellings, the odeon theatre
and various temples. But the most impressive
sight is the crumbling two-storey façade of the
grand library.
