Performance venues include: the Austin and Heaton Performance<br />
Halls, located in the Krannert Fine Arts Center and equipped with<br />
Steinway and Yamaha grand pianos; Park Place Church of God with<br />
1,000 seats, featuring a 60 rank Casavant organ; the 450-seat Byrum<br />
Hall, which hosts lyric theatre productions; and Reardon Auditorium,<br />
the campus’ largest performance hall with more than 2,200 seats,<br />
modern audio and communication technology, and fully equipped<br />
dressing rooms.

The new state-of-the-art dance<br />
studio is equipped with a L’Air<br />
sprung floor, barres, mirrors, and<br />
theatrical sound and lighting<br />
equipment. Classes include<br />
ballet, modern, jazz, tap,<br />
improvisation and choreography,<br />
dance history, period dance, and<br />
world dance.<br />
Hands-on music production<br />
The <strong>Anderson</strong> <strong>University</strong> Recording Studio is a digital hard disk studio<br />
with a Digidesign Control 24 control surface and a Pro Tools HD-1<br />
system. The MIDI Lab houses 16 individual workstations, each<br />
equipped with a computer and Alesis keyboard connected to a mixing<br />
console, allowing the instructor to monitor students individually. The<br />
MIDI Lab workstations all incorporate Sonar Studio 6, Sibelius 5,<br />
Aurelia and Musition software.<br />

PROFESSIONALS IN RESIDENCE<br />
The music faculty are active performers locally,<br />
nationally, and internationally. Many also serve as<br />
adjudicators, guest conductors, and clinicians. Our<br />
dance faculty are active choreographers, dance<br />
company teachers, and rehearsal directors for<br />
prestigious dance and theatre companies.<br />

Orangehaus Records<br />
Orangehaus Records is a student-run<br />
record label that provides valuable<br />
experience in developing, promoting,<br />
marketing, and booking student<br />
musicians. The process is viewed as an<br />
academic experience and is one of only a<br />
few programs in the nation that<br />
incorporates a record label as part of the<br />
curriculum for the music business major.<br />
Orangehaus Music Business Camp is a unique<br />
opportunity for high school students, ages 14-18, to find out<br />
what it takes to be in the music business. Developed by the music<br />
business faculty at <strong>Anderson</strong> <strong>University</strong>, this innovative summer<br />
program offers 3 1/2 days of classes in record production, artist<br />
development, songwriting, music marketing, and many others.<br />
Instructors are award-winning producers, engineers, songwriters,<br />
artist managers, booking agents, and label execs who have<br />
worked with Jon McLaughlin, Switchfoot, David Crowder<br />
Band, Nichole Nordeman, MercyMe, Hillsong United, Grits,<br />
Thousand Foot Krutch and Israel Houghton.<br />
