All degrees are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Music business majors have interned at Gaither Studios, Integrity Music, Word Records, Sound Kitchen Recording Studios, EMI, and Goatee Records. Music education majors participate in the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference (CMENC). Music business majors participate in the Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association (MEISA). The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) provides a $1,000 annual scholarship to a music business major interested in the music products industry. The Master of Music Education program is designed for practicing music educators. Instructors are experienced teachers or administrators and include internationally recognized guest faculty.
AU houses a chapter of the national music honor society Pi Kappa Lambda. The Bachelor of Arts in Music is a personalized degree, which may be structured to fit a particular area of interest. The Secret Marriage Music education graduates enjoy a 100 percent job placement rate. Alumni successfully pursue graduate work at places such as Indiana University, St. Thomas University, the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Boston University, and Vanderbilt University. The Orff Schulwerk certification program (levels I, II, and III) for undergrads, graduate students, and professional music teachers is accredited by the American Orff-Schulwerk Association What do you want to study?
