Wines produced in limited quantities and aged in French and American oak barrels. These are the signature
wines of the Dionysos-Mereni winemakers. The wines of the Carlevana Raritet range are able to satisfy the
tastes of the refined gourmets.
MAlBEC Raritet 2003
• A classic French variety that has never been widely planted in Moldova, with
the exception of a few regions where it was blended with Cabernet Sauvignon
and Merlot to make Bordeaux – type blends;
• Only one Malbec vineyard still exists in Moldova;
• The first varietal Malbec was released in Moldova in 2006;
This dry red wine was aged for 2 years in big (5000 liters) oak vats and for 3 years
• in the bottle;

MERloTAgE Raritet 2003
• This dry red wine is a blend of 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon,
10% Rara Neagra and 5% Malbec;
• Merlotage was produced for the first time in 2003;
• 50% of the wine was aged in new American oak barriques (225 liters barrels),
with the rest being aged in big (5000 liters) oak vats;

RARA NEAgRA Raritet 2005
• Rara Neagra is a native Moldovan red wine variety that has not been propagated
for the past 20 years;
• Rara Neagra has been long considered a good blending compound and was used
in the famous Moldovan red blend Negru de Purcari;
• Deep colored, fruity and rich red dry wine which could compete in quality with the
‘international varieties’ like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot;

CABERNET SAuVIgNoN Raritet 2000
• This dry red wine is a single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, from an unique
vineyard near the Copceac village;
• Year after year the most flavourfull and rich Cabernet Sauvignon is produced
in this vineyard;
• The wine is aged in the traditional Moldovan way, in big old oak vats (no new oak)
for 3 years;
This wine shows pure aged Cabernet Sauvignon flavor and taste, uninfluenced
• by new oak;
20 000 bottles produced.
