3. CaRleVana RezeRVa
Small quantities of the best grapes are carefully selected every vintage, vinified separately and
aged in oak barrels to produce our flagship wines – Carlevana Cabernet Sauvignon Rezerva and
Carlevana Chardonnay Rezerva.
Dionysos - Mereni was the first winery to produce in Moldova Rezerva style wines since vintage
2000. Years later in 2006, Rezerva has been registered by the authorities as an official classification
in Moldova.
CABERNET SAuVIgNoN Rezerva 2002/2003
• Cabernet Sauvignon Rezerva is an intense wine with a profound ruby color;
• The nose opens with jamy notes of red and black fruits, accented by a
delicate spiciness;
• The winemaking of this Cabernet Sauvignon is classic: a 7 days
maceration, and ageing for 2 years in Moldovan oak barrels, 40% new;
• Best served with roasted duck, barbeque and steak.

ChARDoNNAy Rezerva 2002/2003
• The wine is sparkling yellow, dressed in golden reflections;
• This dry white wine is liberating a nose of vanilla, caramel, fine brandy, all
these underlined by a discrete woodiness;
The full, rich and meaty palate is well balanced by an oakyness that is
• delicate and delicious;
Best to be served with the refined salads, seafood fish and poultry;
• 19 000/4 000 bottles produced.

kAgoR Rezerva 2001
• Kagor is a Moldovan style of red fortified dessert wine;
• The wine was partially fermented with wild yeasts and than alcohol was
added to the ferment on skins to stop the fermentation;
• Dried plums, over-ripe sweet cherry, cherry jam and with age – chocolate,
are the aromas and flavors characteristic to Kagor;

Best served with fruits and desserts.
