Multi Bintang Indonesia’s (MBI) mission is to reach the first rank of BOEM (Brewery<br />
Operational Excellent Model) in Asia Pacific with the highest productivity <strong>and</strong> the lowest<br />
production cost PT. MBI has been applying the TPM (Total Productivity Management)<br />
programme. It consists of the following steps:<br />
– PM Pillar (Planned Maintenance): contribute to time loss reduction caused by such things<br />
as broken bottles, power cuts, shut down censors, belt changes, lager, loose bolt, etc.<br />
– AM Pillar (Autonomous Maintenance): to reduce time loss caused by the CILT (Cleaning,<br />
Inspection, Lubrication, <strong>and</strong> Tightening) process by searching the most practical,<br />
economical, <strong>and</strong> quickest way to improve it.<br />
– FI (Focus Improvement): effective treatment to improve productivity.<br />
– PQ (Progressive Quality): continually improving quality control.<br />
– ET (Education & Training): improve the operator/technician’s competence through<br />
training activities which are aimed at machinery specifications of MBI.<br />
– SHE (Safety, Health, <strong>and</strong> Environment): aimed at the development of work safety <strong>and</strong><br />
fitness (K3 / Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja).<br />
The objectives of ET are:<br />
– To improve (old <strong>and</strong> new) the technician’s knowledge, skills, <strong>and</strong> concentration in relation<br />
to the maintenance & repair activities of all equipment installed in Multi Bintang<br />
Indonesia Mojokerto. It should also minimize the breakdown time <strong>and</strong> CILT time of all<br />
equipment installed to be used <strong>for</strong> the production process of MBI Mojokerto.<br />
– Set up within the factory neighborhood, controlled by the ENT Pillar, <strong>and</strong> managed by<br />
instructors from MBI Mojokerto.<br />
– Identifying the training module which refers to the frequency of breakdown time <strong>and</strong><br />
CILT time component.<br />
– Preparing the teaching materials <strong>and</strong> multimedia according to the chosen training module.<br />
