General Public Information Requirements
6.1 Under the COMAH Regulations the site operator (National Grid Grain LNG) is
required to provide information to people within a defined area, who may be
affected by a major accident at the site. This area is determined by the
competent authority and is referred to as the public information zone (PIZ).
Information needs to be provided, prior to any accident occurring, on:
The activities undertaken at the site;
• The dangerous substances which could give rise to a major accident, its
potential effects on the population and the environment;
