Receive alarm call and implement call out and warning procedure as detailed in the “Medway Ports Marine Emergency Procedures”. 2. At the request of National Grid Grain LNG Ltd or the Emergency Services, arrange for the services of tugs and/or launches for firefighting or the transportation of equipment and personnel. 3. OUTLINE RESPONSIBILITIES NETWORK RAIL AND DB SCHENKER RAIL (UK) Annex A - 7 On receipt of information from National Grid Grain LNG Ltd of an incident at their site with off-site implications Network Rail will: 1. Advise the signaling centre that controls rail movements on the Grain branch to ensure that rail traffic is stopped at a suitable location. 2. Inform DB Schenker Rail (UK) of the incident (DB Schenker Rail deals with the Grain freight terminal). On receipt of information from Southern Gas Networks of an incident at their site with off-site implications Network Rail will: 1. Advise the signalling centre that controls rail movements on the branch over Pier Road to ensure that rail traffic is stopped at a suitable location. 2. Provide the link between the emergency services and rail operating companies. 3. Provide advice to the emergency services on rail movements. 4. Provide advice to the emergency services on matters of rail safety. June 2011 Page 49 of 52
