Next generation vessels: Loading, Transporting
and Installing offshore—all in one
State of the art technology: the joint
venture partners HOCHTIEF Construction
and project and heavy lift
cargo carrier Beluga Shipping are
developing a new type of vessel enabling
installation and maintenance
of offshore facilities with overall
heights of more than 120 meters in
water depths of up to 50 meters.
Power and mobility: 8,000 tons
loading capacity, 1,700 tons crane
capacity, 12 knots service speed—
these special lifting vessels can be
operated flexibly and around the
clock on every single day of the year.
The offshore market is booming,
whereas capacities and adequate
tonnage are short at the moment.
But we have the answer: the first
allround vessel of the next generation
will be launched in 2012.
