OUR ORGANISATION<br />
Established in 1996 as an international, not-for-profit,<br />
membership based research and development organisation,<br />
the <strong>Institute</strong> now resides within the Faculty of Health Sciences<br />
at the University of Adelaide with over 60 collaborating<br />
entities (45 Centres, 12 evidence synthesis groups and<br />
5 evidence utilisation groups along with a membership-base<br />
of over 6000 members across 43 countries.<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> is a recognised global leader in evidence-based<br />
healthcare specialising in the production of information<br />
and resources that promote and support evidence-based<br />
health care and the improvement of global health outcomes.<br />
Solutions designed and developed specifically for health<br />
professionals, health researchers and health care consumers<br />
by the <strong>Institute</strong> are not only world class, they are often<br />
world firsts.<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> has cultivated international partnerships that<br />
contribute to the development and maintenance of quality<br />
health care globally. <strong>The</strong>se initiatives are intended to support<br />
and engage those who work in and use health systems<br />
