A ONE-STOP-SHOP
WWL’s Vehicle Processing centre
(VPc) close to Port Hueneme,
was established in 1992. it has
experienced solid growth since
then resulting in several expansions.
today the facility covers
75 acres. services offered at the
VPc include painting, handling,
logistics, rail loading/unloading,
inspection and repairing, upgrading
and storage. there are 180
employees - 100 are full-time and
the other 80 include part-time
employees plus temporary staff
used during peak periods. many
of them are interested in cars.

A SMOOTH TRANSITION
stevedoring at PortHueneme is done by WWL Pacro, the company’s
stevedoring team, and includes: (1) unloading and loading
cars, high and heavy machinery, farm equipment and breakbulk cargo
from vessels. (2) storage facilities for receiving/delivering cargo. (3)
receiving/delivering and marshalling cargo from/to vessels.
FROM H&H TO NCC
Beside cars, Port Hueneme also attracts High and Heavy (H&H)
customers; for example, miles pickup trucks from china – an
electrical model which has been modified to meet california’s strict
environmental legislation. the port is also serving ncc customers.
THE INSPECTION ExPERTS
inspections are one of WWL’s key business areas. around 324,000
inspections are performed annually at Port Hueneme. Len mazzella,
