Cobham was named 10th Most Admired Company in the UK in
Management Today Magazine’s annual survey in December
2009. The position was a particular honour, conferred through
a poll of 200 peer companies in British industry.
In April 2010 two UK based Cobham businesses won Queen’s
Awards for Enterprise, the most prestigious business award
in Britain. Cobham’s surveillance arm won in the Innovation
category, for development of a video transmission system
that is increasing the range at which bomb disposal teams in
Afghanistan and Iraq can view feed from their bomb disposal
robots. The Antenna Systems business won an Export category
award for significant export increases over the past five years.
