XANTHELASMA & XANTHOMA<br />
• Common among older adults and persons with<br />
elevated blood lipids<br />
• Xanthelasmas - usually under the <strong>skin</strong> of the<br />
eyelids near the nose<br />
• Xanthomas - can appear anywhere, commonly<br />
on the elbows, joints, tendons, knees, hands, feet<br />
or buttocks<br />
• Ranging in size from very small to<br />
