KERATOACANTHOMA<br />
(molluscum sebaceum)<br />
• Firm nodule, central keratotic plug<br />
• Ears, nose, cheeks, dorsum of the hands<br />
• <strong>Benign</strong>, develops rapidly, self healing<br />
• Difficult to distinguish from SCC<br />
• Treatment - usually regresses spontaneously<br />
in months, surgical excision is recommended<br />
(scar, rule out SCC)
