Draft deed of Release. Nicolas Purcell of Loughmoe, Co. Tipperary to John
[Musgill] of Ross Castle and John Marshall, Clonmel Co. Tipperary. By the
terms of his marriage settlement with his wife, Eilis, Purcell agreed to settle
certain lands upon her and their offspring. His estate is now in mortgage to
several parties bar an Equity of Redemption which he now wishes to transfer
towards the provisions due to his wife. He therefore discharges and quits John
[Musgill] and John Marshall of the towns and lands of Loughmoe,
Graigfrehan, Tenvohir, Clondofy, Cloghrahy, Brownstown, Clonmrogebigg,
Beakstown, Cornunksstown and Fartemy out of which £500 is to be raised for
each daughter of the said Nicholas Purcell. He also directs ¼ of his estate to
be held for his eldest son until he reaches the age of 21.

position was previously held by a Captain MacDermott.

[confirming the appointment of Captain Edward Roche to fill the position of
Commandant in the Regiment of Infantry of Ireland vacated by Captain
Butler.]

Letter (in French) to Edward Roche signed by Louis XVI, conferring on him
the honour of Chevalier of the Order of St. Louis.
