Station Square transit Village
As a component of the TOD Summit, the TOD Technical Assistance Panels provided
support and advisory assistance to four selected transit stations in the greater Los
Angeles region. The sites included Los Angeles County’s Vermont Green Line
Station and Slauson Blue Line Station, the City of Monrovia’s Station Square Transit
Village and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles’ Jordan Downs 103rd
Street Blue Line Station. This year’s TOD TAP sites benefitted from an extraordinary
group of professionals who brought a fresh pair of eyes to envision planning goals
into development action. The study sites also gained a greater level of awareness,
private sector involvement and were showcased at the TOD Summit. All the reports
are available for download at www.uli-la.org/taps.
High Speed Rail Summit
Development of the California High Speed Rail
offers tremendous opportunities for residential
and commercial development around the high
speed rail stations. In an effort to responsibly
guide this development, California’s ULI
District Councils organized a landmark event
Members discuss opportunities around high speed rail
during the networking breakfast.
for ULI members throughout the state this past
California High-Speed Rail September. The event provided 350 attendees
TOD MarketPlace with the opportunity to discuss and guide the
Technical Assistance Panels for the Cities of San Diego, San Jose & Temecula
future development of communities along the
rail corridor, propelling California into a new
era of responsible development and land use.
