1.1 Unpacking the Unit<br />
<strong>Operator</strong> <strong>Manual</strong><br />
• If there are any signs of damage to the shipping container, immediately notify the carrier<br />
for possible insurance adjustment purposes.<br />
• If the container is intact, carefully open and unpack the contents according to the<br />
following general directions. Compare each item with the shipping list to make sure all<br />
listed items are received. Report any missing or surplus items to a Hach Ultra Analytics<br />
representative immediately, 800.866.7889 or +1 541.472.6500.<br />

• Lift the <strong>HHPC</strong>-2 from the shipping container or the carrying case (shown in Figure 1-4)<br />
and place it on a flat surface.<br />
• Remove the layer of protective plastic from the LCD screen.<br />
The <strong>HHPC</strong>-2 is now ready to set up and operate.<br />
Note:<br />
Although the battery is charged before shipping, it may need to be charged again before<br />
operation, as described in “Charging the Battery” on page 29.<br />
