all-around leader, Mr. Wang has
always maintained a cheerful
dedication to accomplishing
whatever task lies before him.
This attribute, coupled with his
sense of humor and personal
charm, prompted one classmate

Early on, Mr. Wang found a
personal niche in a variety of
community assistance pro g r a m s .
Deeply involved with the Los
Angeles County Bar Association
B a rristers, Public Counsel, and
S t reet Law, and the Homeless
Assistance Project, he also

who brings a special style and
grace to the many formidable
tasks and challenges of law
school, one classmate described
Julie Buchwald as having “a
great warmth and kindness. I
guess it would be more appropriate
to say she is radiant, and
the marriage of this radiance to
the law is a rarity that should
be recognized.”
Always ready to take on a
new task, Ms. Buchwald served
as treasurer of the Student Bar
Association and the communications
chair of PILF. A former

s e rved as a legal advocate at
monthly programs at Bell
Shelter and the Homeless
Veterans Legal Clinic.
An enthusiastic supporter
of PILF, he became a second
year officer, breaking precedent
by serving alone as auction
chair. His whirlwind
efforts resulted in
record-breaking revenues.
During his third year, he
continued his work with
PILF, organizing all of the
promotion for and even performing
at the “Law-
Lapalooza” fund-raiser. This
