Doing the PATTER every month has become much more of a
Challenge than I expected when I took it on. Speaking of
Challenge, if you did not attend the 40th in Frederick, you
missed a great day in spite of the rain. Pictures and stories
from the event fill most of the pages of this months Patter. Everyone had
a great time looking at the cars and talking and shopping. Some people I
know are even going back for MORE shopping.
Back to reality. The time needed to prepare the Patter every month
has been preempted by getting my work situation into shape. Tele-
commuting takes a lot more time than I imagined, even though I
had previously been connected via T1 to servers in another state. I
remember when we all thought computers were fast. Now we ex-
pect them to do much more and complain when they seem slow.
Besides all the time for work, we have a future garage queen in the
works; restoration is progressing on our ‘63 356SC Sunroof
coupe— slowly, but surely.
