Fort Carson soldiers and their
families have a complete community on
post, with soldier and family support,
youth services, schools, shopping,
dining and recreation available.
The Fort Carson Main Post
Exchange in Bldg. 6110 on Martinez
Street includes a PX, barber shop,
beauty shop, GNC, fl ower shop, vision
center, portrait center and a food court.
Other amenities include a bank,
credit union, thrift shop, mini mall, car
care center, three shoppettes, a Class Six
Store, military clothing store, U-Haul,
snack bar, conference center, sports bar
and commissary, which is located in
Bldg. 1525 in Founders Plaza.
The Soldier and Family Readiness
Program offers a wide range of support
services and classes, call 526-4590 for
more information.
The ACS Family Connection is
great for newcomers to learn about
The Mountain Post and make the
transition to Fort Carson. It is located
in Bldg. 1354 at 6070 Barkley Ave.
There are many other programs
and services available on post, many
geared toward children, which include
a kindergarten program, school age
services, youth education support,
outreach, resource and referral, a youth
services center, and a child and youth
sports, fi tness and nutrition program.
Pets are welcome at Fort Carson, the
Veterinary Treatment Facility is at the
corner of Nelson and Harr in Bldg. 6001,
and will see pets by appointment. There
are just a few rules including registering
your pet, vaccinations, microchipping,
and practicing responsible pet care
