Your school is invited to Frontier School Division’s 9 th Annual Music Jamboree. This
package contains all the information on the event including expectations for
participants and chaperones.
Registration cost for the Jamboree participants is as follows:
Frontier School Division Non-Frontier School Division
• Students - $45.00 each • Students - $105.00 each *
• Chaperones - $45.00 each • Chaperones - $45.00 each
* This includes $45 for meals and $60 for instructional costs.
Participation
Students taking fiddling or guitar instruction in their school are eligible to attend
providing they meet the following criteria. The jamboree is not for new fiddlers.
Minimum Requirements:
Fiddling:
Students must know five songs
from Level 1 Category (or songs
of comparable complexity and
skill level).
Guitar:
Should know the following chords/songs:
• Key of G (G, C, D, D7)
• Key of D (D, G, A, A7)
• Key of A (A, D, E, E7)
• Key of E (E, A, B, B7)
• A minor, D minor, E minor and B minor
• Blackberry Blossom
• Red Haired Boy
Participation in this event will be limited, so please register early! The number of
participants allowed from each Area is as follows:

Leveling of Students
Instructors must level and rank their students according to the following scale:
Levels 1 - 4: each of these levels are divided into Low, Mid, and High skill level.
Level 5: no further skill breakdown is required for this level.
Use the Registration Form located at the back of this package.
The following list of tunes in each level is meant to advise students and teachers of
the sort of aptitude, experience, and playing skills that is required for a pleasant
and profitable experience in the classes to which these students will be assigned.
