Cytomegalovirus Retinitis<br />
ALSO KNOWN AS: CMV Retinitis<br />
Viral inflammation <strong>of</strong> the retina <strong>of</strong> the eye caused by cytomegalovirus<br />
(CMV). Symptoms, if any, include blurred vision, floaters, and blind<br />
spots. In people with <strong>HIV</strong>, CMV retinitis (with loss <strong>of</strong> vision) is an <strong>AIDS</strong>defining<br />
condition.<br />
